I crossed paths with Guillermo across the street from the Roosevelt Hotel on 45th street. It was nighttime, and I remember seeing him from afar and finding his appearance interesting. I asked him about his sunglasses, but he immediately started talking to me about his life.
He told me he was from Cuba and why he had to leave. We spoke about the guy who broke down his shelter the night before. He then told me he was going to build a new shelter with the boxes seen in the background. Guillermo was a great person to talk to and served as a fantastic model.
