A Tale of 2 Citiez is a short, documented walk from the city of Yonkers to the borough of the Bronx. The first six photographs depict a calm and peaceful atmosphere, while the last six reflect the opposite.
I was born and raised in the Bronx and have been living in Yonkers for some time now. The environmental change I felt every time I made the fifteen-minute journey to the subway is what compelled me to document this walk. Although litter is evident... it has little to do with the message I wanted to show. This project deals with the tone set by one space and the abrupt change in mood by the other. The "so close, yet so different" truly makes this story a tale of two cities.
